Phin

This is the traditional method of making Vietnamese coffee. The result is rich, bold and smooth.

Ingredients

20g Saigon Phin Daklak coffee (or 3 Tbsp)
100g water (or 4oz water) at 200˚F

Instructions

  1. Pour hot water through empty phin
  2. Discard water
  3. Add coffee to phin
  4. Gently shake to even out coffee
  5. Tamp coffee firmly, but don’t over tamp
  6. Pour just enough water to soak the beans into phin and wait 10 seconds
  7. Pour remaining amount of water into phin
  8. Cap and wait

We recommend serving with 30g of condensed milk (Adjust amount to taste).
